First time for everything

I have entered the world of blogging.  This is strange and seems to be quite a self centered past time yet I feel compelled to join in.  At this time  in my life, I have started to make some big changes so I guess this is all part of the evolution.  Recently, I have started tutoring again and have signed up for the Susan G. Komen three day walk in DC.  I feel like I have begun to get outside of being a mother, a role that I love but that is changing as my children grow.  Will I go back to teaching?  Maybe.  Will I go and work for a non-profit?  Maybe.  The one thing I won't do is go back to doing activities that I do not care for.  Being here in DC, has really opened me back up to who I can be and how this journey will help me guide my children to be free thinkers and try new things.  Training for this walk will be a start!  There is not much to do when walking for miles except to reflect on things and enjoy the scenery!
